Gary Oak is The Player's rival and one of the key characters of PokéUE. He is a massive douche to the player and seeks victory. Professor Oak favours Gary more than the player, and thus helping Gary more on his adventures.

Gary starts out as a fierce rival and wants to beat the player no matter what. He thinks he can win with sheer force and after being defeated many times, realizes that he must respect others to become great. He eventually helps the player to defeat Jessie & James in the final battle at the Heroin Hideout.

Towards the end of the main game, Pro. Oak kills Gary for not being strong enough to defeat the main character (you), and is revealed by Professor Oak to be Blue's, Red's rival, father.
